Terms of Service

Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the app and related services (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms").
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will provide notice of material changes through in-app notifications, website posting, or email to your account email address. Your continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance.

The Service is available to users of all ages.
If you are under the age of 13, you must not submit personal information and must use the Service only with a parent or legal guardian.
Parents/guardians are responsible for supervising and ensuring appropriate use. Additional parental consent requirements may apply as described in our Privacy Policy (including COPPA-related notices).

To use certain features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate information and keep it updated.
Email verification and phone verification are required for account setup and/or sensitive operations.
You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for any activities under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

In-App Purchases (IAP) are processed exclusively through Apple App Store or Google Play Billing via RevenueCat. We do not process payment card data directly.
All purchases are subject to the applicable app store's terms, policies, pricing, taxes, and refund rules.
Certain features or content may require payment and may change over time.
The Compass Basic tier is provided free of charge and is supported by advertising. By using the Basic tier, you agree to receive ads served by our advertising partner, Google AdMob. You can manage ad personalisation preferences at any time in Settings > Data & Privacy > Manage Ad Preferences.

The Service, including software, design, and content created by or for Muleila Technology Group, is protected by intellectual property laws.
Third-party news content and images belong to their respective owners.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You may not copy, distribute, modify, scrape, or create derivative works except as allowed by applicable law.
AI summaries and generated content within the Service are licensed for your personal, non-commercial use.

Currently, the Service does not allow user-generated content submissions beyond preferences and interactions (bookmarks, follows).
You grant Muleila Technology Group permission to use your interactions (reading history, preferences) to improve and personalize the Service.

You agree not to:

Use the Service for unlawful purposes or to violate any rights.
Attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any system or network or breach any security or authentication measures.
Scrape, spider, crawl, or use any automated means to access the Service beyond what is allowed by robots.txt or documented APIs.
Reverse engineer or decompile any part of the Service except as permitted by law.
Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or availability of third-party content (including news sources) accessed via the Service.
AI-generated summaries and content are provided for convenience only and may contain inaccuracies.
Ads displayed in the Service are provided by third-party advertisers. We do not endorse or guarantee the accuracy, quality, or safety of advertised products or services.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Muleila Technology Group will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, arising out of or related to your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our aggregate liability to you for all claims relating to the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) CAD $100. Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations of liability; these limitations may not apply to you.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Muleila Technology Group, its affiliates, officers, agents, and employees from any claim or demand arising from your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party right.

Governing Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada and the laws of Ontario, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Binding Arbitration: Except for eligible small-claims matters, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved by binding arbitration administered by ADR Chambers under their Arbitration Rules. The seat/venue of arbitration will be Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Class Action Waiver: You and Muleila Technology Group agree that any proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action.
Opt-Out: You may opt out of arbitration by sending written notice to [email protected] within 30 days after first accepting these Terms.
Small Claims: Either party may bring an individual action in small claims court.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or for any reason. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately. The provisions that by their nature should survive termination shall survive.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service or any part of it, at any time and without liability. Where appropriate, we will provide reasonable notice.
